Share the essentials first
Include your wedding date, venue, guest count and ceremony time. Tell us whether the reception uses the same space and whether any elements may need to move between locations. If the venue is not booked yet, say so: a quotation based on an unknown setting will need revision when the layout is confirmed.
Separate personal flowers from venue decoration
List the bridal bouquet, buttonholes and any flowers for attendants separately from ceremony and reception items. Then identify the venue pieces you want to discuss, such as an aisle arrangement, backdrop or table centrepieces. This makes quantities easier to understand and reduces the chance of missing a small but meaningful detail.
Choose a palette before insisting on a variety
A small selection of inspiration images can show the mood, shape and colours you enjoy. Tell us which detail is essential and which is flexible. Exact varieties and shades depend on supply and your date, so ask how substitutions will be agreed. Photographs are design references, not a promise that every pictured flower will be available.
Make the budget conversation useful
Give a budget range and rank your priorities. If the bouquet and ceremony photographs matter most, tell us before the design expands to every corner of the venue. Confirm whether delivery, installation, relocation and collection are included in the quotation.
Before booking, review quantities, timing, payment terms and the agreed substitution process. Keep one final version of the brief so everyone is working from the same information.
