Choose one ceremony focal point
Decide what will frame the exchange of vows: a backdrop, a floral arrangement or the view itself. Share the venue photographs and where guests will sit. An outdoor setting may need a freestanding design and a reserved indoor alternative. Ask the venue which areas are available for exclusive use before choosing your layout.
Make personal flowers part of the plan
A bouquet and buttonholes can connect the people in your wedding party to the wider design. Discuss colours and proportions that work with the outfits and ceremony setting. Confirm when the flowers will arrive and who receives them, especially if preparation takes place in a different hotel from the ceremony.
Give the dinner its own attention
For a small group, one long table may become the centre of the evening. Check how much room the meal service needs before choosing flowers. A series of smaller arrangements can create rhythm without blocking conversation. Ask the venue about candles and use permitted alternatives where open flames are restricted.
Reuse decoration only when practical
Moving flowers from the ceremony to dinner may be possible, but it needs time, transport and someone responsible for the changeover. Do not assume guests can remain in the same area while a large structure is dismantled. Include any relocation in the brief and quotation.
